Not too Sweet Pecan Pie
Our "in between" house in Natchitoches, LA featured an enormous pecan tree. While I attribute my herniated L5S1 disc to picking up pecans, it also produced some wonderful treats. The family (but mostly me) shelled 40 pounds of pecans. The rest we used to pack Christmas packages. A very memorable Christmas. Most pecan pies are too sweet for my taste, but Nathan helped me find this one that is just right.
